Project Overview
Gephart Electric served as the electrical contractor to build Allianz Field, home of the MN United FC soccer team. Located in the Midway area of St. Paul, this stadium features 19,400 seats, 38 loge boxes, 25 suites, 4 hospitality clubs, 4 retail outlets, and a brew hall with a roof deck.
Our Work
Gephart’s contributions included:
- Installation and aiming of over 1,600 color-changing façade light fixtures that shine through PTFE stadium exterior
- 360 sports lights surrounding the playing field
- 111 site lighting poles
- Complete lighting control systems
- Power services to main building (600A @ 13.8KV), fire pump (200A @ 480v), and site (1600A @ 208v)
- 1500KW standby emergency generator
- Conduit rough-in for both DAS and WiFi
Success
- Met the aggressive schedule of less than two years from start to finish
- Efficiently managed resources with crews peaking at nearly 80 electricians
- Exceeded WBE and MBE workforce goals
- Continued service and maintenance presence at stadium throughout the season
